The Attack of the Otakus -Art?

Hello, Lu-Chan here! So it's the holidays and recently I thought that it might be cool to like, create characters for us all.
To start of my idea I did a big group painting where we are all inside of circles and have some kind of thing with us, for example, ami-chan has a hat "cos shes a cow gurl" xD

As you can see the paper is wrinkled, this is because, as ive learned, you cannot use regular paper for water colours ><||| 😂👍👌
Enjoy.

Ps- Thoughts and constructive criticism appreciated :) Also if there are any requests please leave them in the comment section below ^ ^

Anime Horror Reviews - 'Shiki'

It was just a nice simple sleepover with Sophie-senpai until we both decided (for some reason) to watch another horror anime. So we flicked through the Horror list and came across this unusual looking anime called 'Shiki'. We tried the first episode (in dubbed) and I have to say after that episode we then watched the next one, then the next one and then the next one. We watched all the way up to the end. This is the story.

The story takes place in a particularly hot summer in the 1990s, in a small quiet Japanese village called Sotoba. A series of mysterious deaths begin to spread in the village, at the same time when a strange family moves into the long-abandoned Kanemasa mansion. Doctor Toshio Ozaki, director of Sotoba's only hospital, initially suspects an epidemic; however, as investigations continue and the deaths begin to pile up, he learns—and becomes convinced—that they are the work of the "shiki", vampire-like creatures, plaguing the village. A young man named Natsuno Yuuki, who hates living in the village, begins to be pursued and surrounded by death.

So overall I'd say that this anime definitely fits in the Horror section, it's creepy and gory. I LOVED IT! And Sophie-senpai loved it too, we would both recommend this anime to you guys so look it up.

Until the next horror time!
!MWAHAHAHA!

Otaku Cupcakes

Hello my fellow otakus, Sophie Senpai here! Sorry I've not been blogging for a very very long time.
I am here to inform that me and lucy-chan on Saturday (27/06/15) made some pretty snazzy cupcakes. We made little lollipops with Dangos, vocaloid and our favourite anime characters Chibi style. Here's a picture:
This is just a simple cupcake recipe but me and lucy-chan had decided to be a bit creative with the cocktail stick decorations that came with the cases. If you would like cupcake decorations like these then here's how you make them.

You will need:
Your finished cupcakes (you can use any cupcake recipe)
Cocktail sticks (the number of sticks depends on how many cupcakes you make)
Paper
Pencils/colouring pencils
Sellotape
Scissors

Method:
Draw circles on your paper (draw the same number as of how many cupcakes you've got). Once you've drawn the circles, draw whatever you want within the circles, you can draw an anime character, symbol or quote, it's your choice, then colour it in. Once you've done that, cut out the circles with your scissors. After that, use the sellotape to stick the cocktail sticks onto the back of your drawings. Finally stick your Otaku decorations into your cupcakes and ENJOY! (=^o^=)

Remember you can use these to decorate anything it doesn't always have to be cupcakes, use your imagination.

Have a good one <3

Little Faves

Hi! Lu-Chan here!

Dear otaku friends, I thought that I would make a little list of great animes that are maybe a little less widely known. Hope you find something you like, or maybe if you have any suggestions you can comment them too ;)

Noragami -I know that this one is probably pretty well known but i think it really does deserve to be up with the big stars, in my eyes everyone needs to see this one!
In short it's about a girl who turns into this half spirit thing, a stray god called yato and his sekei called Yukine.
Also, it has a brilliant opening.
Watch iiit!

The Devil Is A Part Timer -this is a funny one which is basically about Satan ending up in Earth with a few others from his realm. A great one to watch between animes.

Kagerou Project (I think) - A group with eyes that can do powerful things. A great concept and an intresting watch.

Basically all of the things i recommend means you have to go and watch them. X,D

Watamote. -Otaku girl living her little unsocial life.
So relatable *cries in a dark, dark corner.

Golden Time -This is hilarious. Its about a guy with amnesia, a rich girl and the guy being stalked be her. I really enjoyed it but one critisim would be it is a bit dramati at times -> but hey, that adds to its charm.

Toshoken Sensou (probably the right spelling)
If you like books or fighting or romance go and watch this

Hope you found a great new anime! :)

Your fantabulous recommender person.

Anime Horror Reviews - 'ANOTHER'

Now we've all seen at least one horror movie in our existence, at Halloween and sleepover's mostly but have you ever seen a horror that was an anime, well I have and boy did I nearly wet myself.

Me and Lu-Chan were having a sleepover the other night and had decided to do a random genre click, we sometimes do this when we have nothing else to watch. What we did was close our eyes and hover our finger over the list of genres and picked one, this one was a horror. At first we were not too sure on this choice but we decided to give it a shot and we in the end we ended up watching our very first anime horror called 'ANOTHER'. Now this anime was the creepiest thing that we had ever seen, and this is what it was about...
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, she was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation, but by the time graduation came the class took a group photo and in the photo was the girl, Misaki. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to the class, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Mei Misaki who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures. But this school has a curse as each year there is always an extra person in class three so every month of each year a student in class three will die a horrible death, to prevent this the students of the classroom declare that one student from the class should become a non-existent being so that the extra classmate does not prevent any other deaths, that person is Mei Misaki, this works as a charm to protect the class. This does work for a while until the boy, Kouichi decides to talk to Mei, therefore breaking the charm and dooming his classmates. And of course each month a new classmate is killed and everyone is panicking, well duh wouldn't you panic if you were going to die. but luckily there is a new way to stop the curse, also known as the calamity, it is where the students have to figure out who in their class is known as the 'dead one' (basically a student who has already died but their body and soul is still there) and they must kill this person. so they basically have to (WARNING: COOL QUOTE ALERT!!!).......

"SEND THE DEAD BACK TO DEATH!!!!!!" (BEST QUOTE EVER!!!)

So yeah that is pretty much all you need to know about this super gory anime, oh yeah did I mention that there is  a lot of blood and gore in this anime, well now you know so be warned.

Overall I'd say that this is a pretty cool anime, even though it's gruesome and I had almost wet myself twice, it is also really interesting and it always has you thinking. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED ENDING!!!! (but I'm not telling, you'll have to find that out for yourself. MWAHAHAHAH!!!!)

STAY TUNED FOR MORE ANIME HORROR REVIEWS!!!!!

Shoujo.

Hi!! Sorry, i have been a little M-I-A lately xD. I have been busy doing other things. (*Inserts long list of excuses.)

Lately I have been planning a manga with the rest of the attack of the otakus and we decided to go with shoujo. (One reason is that i can not draw fight scenes -yet xD )
The problem is that all shoujos, no offence, are boring, i find anyway.

Im more of a dark twisted plot, fantasy world, epic battles kind of girl. Like anti-romance reader. I dont mind a little bit, but when its all the plot focuses on it's a little bit, dull. Clearly im a big fan of it.

I hope to write a very interesting manga.

Anyway, i've been reading a few as research, and so far am yet to find one that keeps me interested.

To get to the point, im looking for an epic shoujo manga, please leave recommendations in the comments.

To any one who IS looking for some here are some i tried.

-Your lie in april (?)
This is about someone who loses the ability to hear the piano, and meets a girl who plays violin and how he's slowly getting back into playing.
This one was good at the beginning! I enjoyed the musician plotline but after about ten chapters i got bored, i dont know, someone else might enjoy?

-Akagami no shirayukime (The names are probably all wrong..)
This is about a girl with apple red hair and a prince who become friends.
Things i liked about this one is the folklore intertwining with the plot and medieval (not old fashioned though) feel to it. There was also nothing that stood out as bad but i kind of started it, forgot about it and felt no real urges to get me reading again. I think it would benefit with more cliff hangers or being faster paced, something along those lines.

-I want to say it started with horimi... (evidently i have a great memory)
This one is about a gloomy/goth guy and a flashy/plain girl finding each others secrets falling in love.
I think i read a fair chunk out of this one. The violent friendship was cute i guess? The thing is, i dont really remembering it having much of a plotline... (i think this is common in these genres tbh)

-Hibi Chouchou
Quiet girl and a quiet boy, cause that would work out.
This manga was cute i guess, but immensely irritating to read. I think if your into nice slow paced stuff this could be fitting for you.

-Say i love you
I read the first chapter of this. What its getting at is 'good looking' guy who needs a hair cut liking the 'uncool' girl, or that's how i remember it...

-Watashi Ni xx shinasai
A girl bossing/blackmailing a boy to help her with her story
My sadistic personality let me enjoy the humour of how the roles were switched and she was bossing him about but it got too samey for me...

-Strobe Edge
A girl falls in love with a guy who has a girlfriend, love triangles and all that jazz.
This one was alright. A little bit too predictable (that doesn't matter though, basically everything is), the thing that got me was the girl trying to get a guy WITH a girl friend, at least wait till they break up.

(I have a giant list of others i have tried but that would take too long so nah.)

Dont get me wrong, im not totally against all shoujo manga, and the art style is always very beautiful but i just cant stand the lack of a plotlines...
Even the ones i mentioned, they were ok for the most part but the plots are so sloooooow/non existent, if only they wouldn't solely focus on romance.

I probably sound really rude right now, believe me i know im nowhere near a level as good as those artists and writers, im like, little doodle level xD,, so, no offence intended!!

Please follow the blog for more rants and tangents among other stuff, also follow my and our youtube channels.

Peace out fellow Otakus!
