Shoujo.

Hi!! Sorry, i have been a little M-I-A lately xD. I have been busy doing other things. (*Inserts long list of excuses.)

Lately I have been planning a manga with the rest of the attack of the otakus and we decided to go with shoujo. (One reason is that i can not draw fight scenes -yet xD )
The problem is that all shoujos, no offence, are boring, i find anyway.

Im more of a dark twisted plot, fantasy world, epic battles kind of girl. Like anti-romance reader. I dont mind a little bit, but when its all the plot focuses on it's a little bit, dull. Clearly im a big fan of it.

I hope to write a very interesting manga.

Anyway, i've been reading a few as research, and so far am yet to find one that keeps me interested.

To get to the point, im looking for an epic shoujo manga, please leave recommendations in the comments.

To any one who IS looking for some here are some i tried.

-Your lie in april (?)
This is about someone who loses the ability to hear the piano, and meets a girl who plays violin and how he's slowly getting back into playing.
This one was good at the beginning! I enjoyed the musician plotline but after about ten chapters i got bored, i dont know, someone else might enjoy?

-Akagami no shirayukime (The names are probably all wrong..)
This is about a girl with apple red hair and a prince who become friends.
Things i liked about this one is the folklore intertwining with the plot and medieval (not old fashioned though) feel to it. There was also nothing that stood out as bad but i kind of started it, forgot about it and felt no real urges to get me reading again. I think it would benefit with more cliff hangers or being faster paced, something along those lines.

-I want to say it started with horimi... (evidently i have a great memory)
This one is about a gloomy/goth guy and a flashy/plain girl finding each others secrets falling in love.
I think i read a fair chunk out of this one. The violent friendship was cute i guess? The thing is, i dont really remembering it having much of a plotline... (i think this is common in these genres tbh)

-Hibi Chouchou
Quiet girl and a quiet boy, cause that would work out.
This manga was cute i guess, but immensely irritating to read. I think if your into nice slow paced stuff this could be fitting for you.

-Say i love you
I read the first chapter of this. What its getting at is 'good looking' guy who needs a hair cut liking the 'uncool' girl, or that's how i remember it...

-Watashi Ni xx shinasai
A girl bossing/blackmailing a boy to help her with her story
My sadistic personality let me enjoy the humour of how the roles were switched and she was bossing him about but it got too samey for me...

-Strobe Edge
A girl falls in love with a guy who has a girlfriend, love triangles and all that jazz.
This one was alright. A little bit too predictable (that doesn't matter though, basically everything is), the thing that got me was the girl trying to get a guy WITH a girl friend, at least wait till they break up.

(I have a giant list of others i have tried but that would take too long so nah.)

Dont get me wrong, im not totally against all shoujo manga, and the art style is always very beautiful but i just cant stand the lack of a plotlines...
Even the ones i mentioned, they were ok for the most part but the plots are so sloooooow/non existent, if only they wouldn't solely focus on romance.

I probably sound really rude right now, believe me i know im nowhere near a level as good as those artists and writers, im like, little doodle level xD,, so, no offence intended!!

Please follow the blog for more rants and tangents among other stuff, also follow my and our youtube channels.

Peace out fellow Otakus!
