Anime Horror Reviews - 'Shiki'

It was just a nice simple sleepover with Sophie-senpai until we both decided (for some reason) to watch another horror anime. So we flicked through the Horror list and came across this unusual looking anime called 'Shiki'. We tried the first episode (in dubbed) and I have to say after that episode we then watched the next one, then the next one and then the next one. We watched all the way up to the end. This is the story.

The story takes place in a particularly hot summer in the 1990s, in a small quiet Japanese village called Sotoba. A series of mysterious deaths begin to spread in the village, at the same time when a strange family moves into the long-abandoned Kanemasa mansion. Doctor Toshio Ozaki, director of Sotoba's only hospital, initially suspects an epidemic; however, as investigations continue and the deaths begin to pile up, he learns—and becomes convinced—that they are the work of the "shiki", vampire-like creatures, plaguing the village. A young man named Natsuno Yuuki, who hates living in the village, begins to be pursued and surrounded by death.

So overall I'd say that this anime definitely fits in the Horror section, it's creepy and gory. I LOVED IT! And Sophie-senpai loved it too, we would both recommend this anime to you guys so look it up.

Until the next horror time!
!MWAHAHAHA!

Otaku Cupcakes

Hello my fellow otakus, Sophie Senpai here! Sorry I've not been blogging for a very very long time.
I am here to inform that me and lucy-chan on Saturday (27/06/15) made some pretty snazzy cupcakes. We made little lollipops with Dangos, vocaloid and our favourite anime characters Chibi style. Here's a picture:
This is just a simple cupcake recipe but me and lucy-chan had decided to be a bit creative with the cocktail stick decorations that came with the cases. If you would like cupcake decorations like these then here's how you make them.

You will need:
Your finished cupcakes (you can use any cupcake recipe)
Cocktail sticks (the number of sticks depends on how many cupcakes you make)
Paper
Pencils/colouring pencils
Sellotape
Scissors

Method:
Draw circles on your paper (draw the same number as of how many cupcakes you've got). Once you've drawn the circles, draw whatever you want within the circles, you can draw an anime character, symbol or quote, it's your choice, then colour it in. Once you've done that, cut out the circles with your scissors. After that, use the sellotape to stick the cocktail sticks onto the back of your drawings. Finally stick your Otaku decorations into your cupcakes and ENJOY! (=^o^=)

Remember you can use these to decorate anything it doesn't always have to be cupcakes, use your imagination.

Have a good one <3

Little Faves

Hi! Lu-Chan here!

Dear otaku friends, I thought that I would make a little list of great animes that are maybe a little less widely known. Hope you find something you like, or maybe if you have any suggestions you can comment them too ;)

Noragami -I know that this one is probably pretty well known but i think it really does deserve to be up with the big stars, in my eyes everyone needs to see this one!
In short it's about a girl who turns into this half spirit thing, a stray god called yato and his sekei called Yukine.
Also, it has a brilliant opening.
Watch iiit!

The Devil Is A Part Timer -this is a funny one which is basically about Satan ending up in Earth with a few others from his realm. A great one to watch between animes.

Kagerou Project (I think) - A group with eyes that can do powerful things. A great concept and an intresting watch.

Basically all of the things i recommend means you have to go and watch them. X,D

Watamote. -Otaku girl living her little unsocial life.
So relatable *cries in a dark, dark corner.

Golden Time -This is hilarious. Its about a guy with amnesia, a rich girl and the guy being stalked be her. I really enjoyed it but one critisim would be it is a bit dramati at times -> but hey, that adds to its charm.

Toshoken Sensou (probably the right spelling)
If you like books or fighting or romance go and watch this

Hope you found a great new anime! :)

Your fantabulous recommender person.
